There are times when young people may struggle with a range of issues including dealing with the pressure of exams, mental health issues and family problems.
Early help is about stopping these problems escalating – and allowing young people to thrive at school and at home.
Early help can involve intensive intervention or lighter touch support depending on the needs of the young person involved. The key is letting the school know that you need help. Talk to your Tutor or your Head of Year and they will be able to start the process of getting the help you need.
Early Help at Thomas Mills High School includes the following:
School nurse drop-in sessions
School nurse referrals
Lunchtime support clubs and activities
Inclusion service support
