The Friends of Thomas Mills High School

The aim of the Friends Group is to support the School through fundraising. Taking part in the Friends events enables parents to meet and get to know each other, as well as getting to know the senior staff of the School.

September 2019 saw us continuing our fundraising efforts for the Fab Labs Appeal – the campaign to raise sufficient funds to refurbish the science laboratories and we are delighted to report that the first lab is now complete (see photos here).

Some examples of what we do include our biggest event of the 2019 school year, THE Quiz Night, thanks to the mighty Mr Chittock, our esteemed Quizmaster. It has proved to be very popular amongst parents and staff alike raising almost £1000 for the school.

We also trialled a Casino Night event for the first time which was much enjoyed by those who attended, raising almost £700.

We provide refreshments during the wonderful main school productions. Last year was ‘Les Misérables’ an example of the talent shown by our young people, a most enjoyable evening and the generosity shown meant we banked almost £1000 again
