Careers

Young people face more options than ever before in education, training and employment.  We aim to provide high quality careers education and guidance to enable them to make choices wisely, achieve their potential and put their talents to good use throughout their career. We continually look for ways to strengthen and extend our links with training providers and local businesses.

Work Experience is an important element of our Careers Programme.  Currently all Year 10 pupils spend one week in the workplace during their summer term.  All post-16 students are encouraged to arrange a placement if their timetables permit.

Our programme aims to help individuals to succeed and to achieve their broader aims by raising their aspirations and equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for the future.

In the 'downloads' section there are a number of files and links to help with careers research.

The National Careers Service website contains a wide variety of information on careers, employment, training, apprenticeships, further and higher education and applications. It is an excellent starting point to begin your research.

A free National Careers Service app, 'Career Advice', is also available for both android and apple mobile phones and devices.

Advice and support may also be obtained from the National Contact Centre
